Careers Couture was birthed out of the desire and joy of helping individuals see and navigate the realm of career possibilities through self-awareness and an understanding of personality.  Nettie Millard calls herself a Career Stylist and states, “My extensive experience in learning & development and human resources gave me excellent transferable skills into career consulting.”  She further states, “Any change can bring a level of anxiety.  At Careers Couture, we work to be a top provider of choice for career exploration and discovery in order to give our clients that extra boost of confidence to embrace career change and live fulfilling lives.”  The company also provides network-centric career seminars and other networking events for professionals. “Having a network is one thing. Nettie Millard has over twenty years’ experience in professional development, organizational development and human resources.  She received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Howard University, a Master of Administrative Science degree from Johns Hopkins University and is a graduate of the University of Maryland University College’s Center for Creative Leadership’s National Leadership Institute’s Leadership Development Program.  Nettie is credentialed through the Center of Credentialing Education as a certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) and through the Human Resources Certification Institute as a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).  She is also certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Career Leader assessments.  She is a member of the Chesapeake Human Resources Association, the National Career Development Association and the Maryland Career Development Association, a board member of the American Institute for Urban Psychological Studies, Inc. and member of the Women Behind the Community, Inc.

Throughout her career, Nettie has garnered numerous awards including but  not limited to the National Performance Review Award and Government Computer News Award for “helping to build a government that works better and costs less “  and the Performance Excellence in Leadership Award to name a few.
